It is than White-Ash and will send the ball flying. The good thing about using a wood bat for practice is it allows you to work on technique and mechanics. You'll develop a better sense for the sweet spot, stronger wrists and a keener eye by taking Batting Practice with a wooden bat. The R141 is a great ash wood bat and really helps you drive the ball.
